Here’s Why You Should Get A Postpaid Connection Soon

With this type of mobile network plan, you have to make your postpaid bill payment after using your monthly data. Your monthly invoice is based on the plan you selected and your data usage. A postpaid connection is ideal for working professionals who have a consistent source of income. Although it is slightly more expensive than a prepaid plan, a postpaid plan more than makes up for it by providing additional benefits such as OTT subscriptions, data rollover, and more. You can use a postpaid connection to make calls, send texts, and so on.

Simply select a plan for your phone, and your mobile network charges you every month and instantly refreshes your plan on the first day of your billing period. To get started with your postpaid mobile services, you can get an Airtel postpaid SIM or switch from a prepaid to a postpaid plan.

How to switch from Airtel prepaid to postpaid?

There are three options for switching from an airtel prepaid connection to a postpaid connection:

  1. Airtel’s official website

Choose a postpaid plan that meets your needs and switch from prepaid to postpaid. Confirm your current phone number and submit an upgrade request. After successfully generating and verifying your OTP your number will be upgraded from prepaid to postpaid.

  1. SMS

Send an SMS to 1900 with the word PORT in the subject line. You’ll be provided with a UTC (Universal Transaction Code) code. Visit your local Airtel store, fill out a form and submit the necessary documents, most notably your Aadhar card.

  1. Through the Airtel store

For verification, bring photocopies of your Aadhar card and the original to your nearest Airtel store. Fill out the form to receive a new postpaid SIM card. You can also keep using your old Airtel postpaid SIM card.

How to switch from another prepaid service provider to airtel postpaid?

If you are currently using a prepaid SIM from another service provider and want to join Airtel’s postpaid plans, you can port your number very easily. SMS “PORT” to 1900 from your current connection, and for the port request to be accepted, your connection with the current operator must be at least 90 days old. Following that, you will be assigned a unique port number that you must only share with your new service provider.
